In case it helps give people more confidence, we've used the rolling 
upgrade method to update different slurm clusters from 21.08.2 -> 
21.08.8-2 and 20.11.9 -> 21.08.8-2 without incident.

Many thanks to the Slurm team for providing these fixes, and so quickly :)
