[slurm-users] Finding / compiling "pam_slurm.so" for Ubuntu 16.04

That’s what I’m having a problem with – how to do this? (I don’t build software often, so not a pro at this...)

My contrib/pam folder contains:

pkgbuilder at mlbuild02:~/test-build/slurm-16.05.4/contribs/pam$ ls -la
total 92
drwxr-xr-x 3 pkgbuilder pkgbuilder 4096 May 4 14:11 .
drwxr-xr-x 19 pkgbuilder pkgbuilder 4096 May 4 14:11 ..
drwxrwxr-x 2 pkgbuilder pkgbuilder 4096 May 4 14:11 .deps
-rw-rw-r-- 1 pkgbuilder pkgbuilder 26232 May 4 14:11 Makefile
-rw-r--r-- 1 pkgbuilder pkgbuilder 807 Mar 14 2014 Makefile.am
-rw-r--r-- 1 pkgbuilder pkgbuilder 27217 Aug 12 2016 Makefile.in
-rw-r--r-- 1 pkgbuilder pkgbuilder 13107 Aug 12 2016 pam_slurm.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 pkgbuilder pkgbuilder 3653 Mar 14 2014 README

If I type “make” in this folder, I just get an error “make: Nothing to be done for 'all'.”

Hey Will,

It maybe just as easy in your case to just build it directly, it's just one c file and makefile
